The National Library of Andorra has been entrusted with the following functions:          - To care for the Andorran bibliographical property and to preserve it for the future generations.          - To collect and catalogue the publications on any medium that are made in the country and the documentation relating             to Andorra that is published abroad.          - To increase the bibliographical property through the search for and acquisition of old and rare books.          - To prepare and make known the bibliography of Andorra.            The bibliography of Andorra contains:               - All the works published in Andorra (regardless of subject), which form the national bibliography.               - All the works on Andorran subjects (published in any country).               - All the works by Andorran authors (published in any country).                  The publication of the current bibliography of Andorra in the journal Ex - libris Casa Bauró: Fulls de bibliografia                  (Bibliography Sheets) has been the first step towards the dissemination of this documentation.                  In the future, the progressive automation of the general catalogue and its posting on the Internet will simplify the access                  to the retrospective bibliography.                  The control of the Legal Deposit simplifies this task with respect to the publications issued in the country.                  The search for what is published with respect to Andorra in other countries is more difficult but quite interesting.          - To simplify the access to the documentation for scholars and the general public          - To be a centre for the dissemination of culture through the issue of publications and the holding of events.
